
Got the new toy home and washed off the bugs. Without further ado I found the replacement for the 65 Mustang I sold when we sold the house. Now that I have a place with a nice garage I figured I'd make up for the one I sold.
This is hands down the nicest classic Mustang I've owned. It's a real factory 1966 GT Mustang with a four speed built in Ford's San Jose plant. It's not 100% correct but those are things I can fix if I really want to be completely anal about it.

It's a curious caption on that pic with the engine going in. A 289ci V8 was an option in 1964, but the 260 V8 was the normal base V8 package. Fun to notice the generator on the left side of the motor instead of an alternator as 65 was the first year of using an alternator charging system. :)
