Oh, man. You have no comment, and yet I want to pounce on you and ask all sorts of questions: who this is, what inspired this, what you were thinking when you painted it...seriously, this thing - mixed with the lack of explanation - just sets my mind on fire. (Really, it's a great job, and it's always interesting seeing stuff like this fall out of your imagination. Different from your usual work - not that there's anything wrong with said work - and very vivid...)
...and yet, the monolith is silent. Ah well...if you'd rather keep it to yourself, that's all right. :3 I'll just think and enjoy it.

The sun hung low and langurious in the evening sky still, turning the sky blood red as it slipped slowly below the mountains...amidst the green grass covered hillocks and paths of this sacred valley, a lone warrior, blue clad and carrying the traditions of centuries on hir back, stalked across the landscape.
Her purpose...redemption.
Very nice and atmospheric artwork here Nori! It's very rare to see you attempting landscapes, especially of such an ethereal sort...does look a little odd, of course, but then again not everyone can pull off landscapes all the time. XD

Hmm.. Reminds me, a bit, of something I saw in one of the original TMNT comics.
OiNuttah's got a similar take on what I thought..
'The walk was longer than he had anticipated, with the setting sun having been an annoyance on his trek down the mountain path. The temple on the north face had requested he head south on a family errand, but with the earlier snows, it had kept him from leaving. Having spent the time meditating and training, he felt confident he could deal with any bandits that would eventually be an issue down the road. For now, however, he simply enjoyed the warmth upon his back.'
Ancestral memory. ^.^
