There are a few things that become obvious about one Mitchel M. Goe after a brief encounter: He is seemingly a super genius - a practical limitless font of knowledge about most matters, an endless source of trivia and information, and if you ask him about almost any subject, he'll have an answer… The next things most people will notice is that he is rather clumsy, and when he speaks he's almost always literal or prone to stating the obvious - and regularly misses such things as innuendo, sarcasm, or jokes. Most humans tend to think he's just a little socially awkward, or a little simple.
Many of the Extranatural residents of Felton, MA, know full well it's goes well beyond that. For you see, Mitch isn't human; he's not even from this planet. He is actually a Mi-Go, a fungoid crustacean creature from the distant planetoid/moon of Yuggoth. The Mi-Go are a hyper intelligent race with advanced sciences and medical practices, travelling among the stars, exploring new worlds and bringing some of the most intellectual or sensitive individuals to their worlds - and others - to see what is beyond their home world, usually with advanced, (mostly) temporary surgeries to place their brains in special devices that allow them to travel and experience things safely - while the bodies are turned into organic framework hosts for Mi-Go to take over, so they can observe, study, and participate in the native cultures. Mi-Go have been visiting Earth through such methods for quite some time to observe humanity and study the human cultures and the planet.
Mitch is, ostensibly, here on a mission to "study" and "obtain knowledge." That's what his kin and superiors told him he was doing when they sent him to Earth in the 1950s. In actuality, Mitch is something of an idiot - functionally retarded and autistic by Mi-Go standards (but still a genius beyond fathoming for human standards), and it was either essentially exile him for life with a phony mission, or execution - Mi-Go have no use for "worthless" members in their society.
His family volunteered him for the former, and so Mitch has been living in disguise on Earth for many decades. He's gone through numerous frames over the decades do to various incidents, usually when he forgets that while he's of a sturdier substance than most humans, his frameworks are much more fragile - dooming his "hosts" to being brains in jars on Yuggoth forever in the process. By proxy, he has changed appearance, ethnicity, and even gender every few years; he particularly likes his current framework of a 20-something, chubby African American male. Mitch, exceptionally simplistic and having an almost child-like lack of understanding regarding certain nuances about human life and interactions, often gets into trouble. The primary factor that reduces these instances is his friend and roommate, Graham Barlowe the Daywalking Vampire.
Graham met Mitch not too long into his undead existence and Mitch's own arrival on Earth, and they have stuck together ever since. Graham has stuck with Mitch, initially to study the strange alien being, but at this point he views Mitch as a kind of surrogate brother, and he does his best to keep him out of harm's way. That can be hard sometimes, what with Mitch's desire to "perform scientific experiments," "collect," and "explore" - but as long as Graham can manage to keep Mitch in supplied with the occasional basket of kittens, the sugariest cereals and cartoons, he manages to keep such incidents to a minimum.

KawaiiJumi, the first to only get a lineart debut (the sketch version will be in the scraps), and our introduction to Mitch's organic framework disguise! :3 Hope you like it. Really, art wise, I'm REALLY looking forward to getting some art that shows more of Mitch's "natural" state... To anyone who may actually be reading this - are you an artist who is really into aliens or Lovecraft, or do you know such an artist, with reasonable rates? Because I really want to get some Mitch the Mi-Go stuff.
Anyway. Credit for Mitch's concept does belong to my mate,
JosephH, while Mitch is one of my M.E.A. project characters. All love for Mitch and his strange, strange ways.
