**Squishies are a closed species - you may not make your own!**
---
SOoo I actually finished this back in...August?? I just never found the time to really type anything up for it until now, so here we go!
---
General Info
• Omnivorous; they prefer shellfish, but they aren't too terribly picky and will generally eat whatever is readily available.
• Although aquatic, they're capable of going on land for short periods of time. They are, however, very clumsy on land!
• Preferred climate depends on the type of Squishy; they can be temperate, tropical, or arctic. The examples on this sheet are temperate. There will be more info on the tropical and arctic varieties once I've had time to work on them!
• While Squishies are generally colourful, it is possible to have a pastel or muted palette. Albino and melanistic Squishies also exist, but both are rather rare mutations.
Cerata
• As seen on the chart, cerata can appear in many places.
• Cerata growing along the main placement area can range from small to fairly large, but nothing ludicrous that would hinder swimming or general movement.
• Secondary cerata ("small cerata & accents") are generally smaller than the main cerata, although this is not always the case. Sometimes they are the same size or slightly larger, but this is less common.
Frills
• Frills can appear on any Squishy. They only grow along the lines shown on the chart.
• Cerata will sometimes grow along the frill line instead of actual frills, but cerata and frills cannot exist together along this line.
Nubs, Horns, & Antennae
• Nubs come in a variety of shapes and sizes but should never be overly large.
• Horns (currently) only come in two shapes; horn size varies slightly, and they can even be mismatched to one another.
• Antennae also have a bit of variety, but they are generally long and slender with a small bulb-like shape at the end.
• Nubs and antennae form in the blue areas of the example image; horns form in the orange areas.
Feral vs. Anthro
• Feral and anthro Squishies can exist in the same world. The canon is that some were blessed by one of their deities and given a higher form, but feel free to make them shapeshifters or just whatever floats your boat!
• Non-feral Squishies are not clumsy on land, but they still can't stay out of the water indefinitely. They are able to breathe oxygen just fine, but their skin requires moisture for them to stay alive and healthy.
• Yes, you can have both feral and anthro versions of your Squishy as long as you aren't treating them as two different characters. You may use both forms interchangeably, but you only have one character, not two.
• Examples of anthro Squishies can be found here.
Twins, Siblings, Etc.
• You may not create a twin, sibling, or offspring for your Squishy; this is considered a separate character and is not allowed.
• If you do want a twin, sibling, offspring, etc. for your Squishy, you will have to purchase or obtain another Squishy via batch sale, auction, custom, OTA (Offer-To-Adopt), MYO event, or by trading with another user for one of theirs.
Reselling, Gifting, & Trading (this is pretty much my adopt ToS in general, but I'm posting it here too for convenience)
• You are allowed to resell your Squishy, but only for the amount you paid for it or less.
• Extra art received in the form of gifts, trades, or art you did yourself DO NOT COUNT toward the resell value.
• If there is extra commissioned art involved, however, you may resell for higher as long as it does not exceed the value of the commissioned work plus the original adopt price. It's also polite to check with each artist involved, as some don't like their commissions being "resold" with adopts, so I strongly encourage this!
• You are allowed to gift or trade your Squishy.
• If you receive a Squishy via gift or trade, that Squishy can only ever be traded or re-gifted. You are not allowed to sell it if you did not pay for it.
Species Credit & Watermarks
• When posting general art of Squishies, please credit me for the species. A link back is not absolutely required, but it is greatly appreciated!
• Although not a requirement, I strongly urge buyers to use the watermarked version when posting the original adopt image to their gallery, Toyhou.se account, etc.
• On that note, if you are posting the original adopt image (by me), please credit me for the art/design. For images not drawn by me, you need only credit the species itself.
Design Editing
• You are allowed to edit the design, but ONLY in a new image. You may not edit my art or draw over top of it.
• It's okay to change markings and colours to make your Squishy more enjoyable to draw, but you are not allowed to change it to something so different that the original design is no longer recognizable.
• If you would like to alter traits, you are permitted to do so as long as they are of the same rarity or lower. For example, you can change out an uncommon trait for a different uncommon trait, or you can change it to a common trait if you like, but you cannot upgrade it to very uncommon, rare, etc.
• If you do wish to alter the design or change traits as per these guidelines, please do run the changes by me. It keeps things a lot easier and more organized on my end. Thanks! ♥

WHEW.. I hope I didn't forget anything. I kind of poked at this on and off for a couple hours, so hopefully it's coherent. @v@;;
I do plan on adding more traits (and most likely small variations of existing traits), but this is just what I have so far!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! ;v;/
