Joyeux Noël, too, my friend =D I hope we'll have met before next christmas, I would really like =D But with my new job, a few days long trip to you to France would be easily possible - and exciting like nothing before, have never been to any foreign country yet. Have been all my 23 years inside this country. This got to change ^o^ Though I wonder if I could communicate with the people properly XD We would have to use English anyways, since my French is bad, and I don't think German is that easy for you :b

Don't worry if you come to my district, we all speak german (except me), or should I say its dialect the Alsacian which is close to your. But I think that we wouldn't have problem to communicate in english =)

Misunderstandings due to the languages and the cultures. It's absolutely surprising that we can be that different in fact, once we point some of our differences. I don't count the spats we had due to some thoughts which were at the exact opposite once translated. Misunderstandings for sure because once it was explained, we usually laughed about that.
I now can understand some opinions about our two cultures... It's all about a lack of communication.

I see. Well I have always guessed that French and US-american culture is very different. German and American would be closer to each other, I would just guess.

I highly doubt of this, but maybe you're right after all... I think that's a matter of religion in fact, whatever we were christians.

As I think to know, most parts of the US people are believing, most of them are christian. I personally don't believe in anything, but which is no meaning for culture.
