Done for
keluswulf in a Secret Santa trade organized by
arctic-sekai
Character is named Skye.
Not exactly Christmasy in theme, but that's what I was inspired to do.
As I got my references, I first discovered that there was a certain ambiguity about ther color of hair. One ref had it brownish, other blonde. Third was just lineart. As it was, I figured I might as well do hair worth being wrong about. And thus the image was born.
Originaly I figured I'd just have her kinda floating in abstract, colored space. I had some extra green, so I did the background green. About quarter away through the painting, I noticed that it looked a lot like she was laying on a grassy plain. It looked nice, so I ditched my original plan and went for the current background.
Acrylics on a 18cm x 24mc streched canvas.
Finaly found a good place to use my Deco Granite paint on the dress to make the shine. It doesn't come out well in the photo, but looks quite nice in life. Also creates a nice, glossy surface.

Thanks. I do try.
To tell the truth, I'm not at all motivated at doing just your avredge pin up. Theme or no theme. Not that there's anything inheritly wrong with them, but I think we have more than a steady supply of those already. And they just aren't my thing. (Mostly because I kinda suck at making things realistic.)
