Here's pages 09 through 12, all toned n' such, so this is what it's going to look like on print. Having done the last comic completely in tones, I decided to try simple B&W block coloring in Photoshop this time, to see how it'll look overall when it's printed. It's lost a bit of the manga feel, but then again, print quality in America sucks when it comes to tones, so we'll see.
These next several pages will easily be the most fun yet most annoying for me to produce from start to finish. Angle checks, detail checks, focus line adjusting, toning all those small areas... induces a lot of computer sickness, if you ask me. But if it looks good, then it's pain worth living through.
The continuation of Endless Maiden Circuit from the Jyuki-ikkon Test Issue begins and ends here, with the third issue - the Production Issue, slated for release at FC'09. There's going to be an extremely limited print run for the Production Issue this year - only 10-20 standard-print issues for sale at $8.00 (page count's going to surpass 90 pages, it seems), as well as 30 cheaper, low-quality ashtray copies for $2.00. And it's only going to be on sale at Further Confusion only. So if you want either type of copy, hope you know someone who's going there who'll pick it up for you! |
And 90 pages, holy shit, I'm totally going to buy one.
