Some additional information about my process:
Approval Steps: Most commissions have two approval steps, one after the initial sketch phase and one once the commission is almost finished. You are able to ask for any changes at the sketch phase (pose, expression, additions, etc), and small changes (such as color tweaks) at the final approval stage. Ink Style and Reference sheet commissions are the only exception, they also get an additional approval step after the lineart has been made.
Payment: I require at least 50% of the payment up front. The commissioner is welcome to pay the full amount if desired. Otherwise, once the commissioner approves the sketch phase, I will require the last 50% before I complete the image.
