Welcome to another limited edition adoptable ornament character auction!
Character Background:
It is not uncommon for Shisa residing in solely in the spirit world to take on characteristics of the first piece of the physical world which they touch. The energies of something as humble as a creek or stone can instantly mold the very appearance, personality, and name of a Shisa. When those natural occurrences have something as powerful as a myth or name attached to them, the Shisa's story tends to parallel that story. These two colorful Shisa had taken on the mythology of Halcyone and Ceyx when the beauty of the stars moved them closer to the wonder of nebulas. The myths attributed to the stars influenced their physical form. Just as in the myth, despite her anxiety surrounding his leaving, Ceyx goes on a journey and dies while he is away. In the story of these two Shisa, the heavy grief is overcome by the power of their love when Halcyone travels back to the spirit world to bring her lover back. The price both pay is that their physical bodies were no longer intact, by no means should they have been allowed to come back. Yet in a twist of fate, they're allowed to re-enter the physical world as Kingfisher birds. While most Shisa relish a good battle, having gone through such a painful loss, these two bring peace and rest wherever they travel.

Ladder Options:
$195 - Meeting this to add an expression/headshot drawing for each character which may be added to the reference sheets. Originals will be shipped along with the pendants.
$285 - Meet this and I will include a Full Body graphite drawing for each character which may be added to the reference sheet. (Drawing may show interaction or separate, your choice). Originals will be shipped along with the pendants.
$350 - A big thank you for meeting this level, meet this and receive one of the original drawings used for these Adoptable Ornaments! Available is the male, female, and schedule drawings - your choose which one you want to enjoy. There is only one of each of these original drawings offered through these auctions, so get 'em while you can!

For the Winner:
•Email me at ccarpenter (at) wintersoulstudios (dot) com. I will need to know your Paypal address along with your physical address so that I may ship the pendants and printed ref sheets. Also let me know if you'd like any changes to the reference (read below for details on ref).
•I will be sending a Paypal invoice, which will need to be paid three days within being sent.
•On the reference sheet I can do minor changes, mainly to the text (their names, description, etc.). Optional- I can also add your name (character owned by...). For the ref sheet, I may also be able to make minor changes to markings, the ears, etc., just note that depending on the complexity of the change I may charge an additional fee. The physical ornament/pendant may not be changed at this point. If you would like changes to the reference sheet, please let me know in the initial email.
•You are welcome to expand and build upon the story, markings, physical build, add anthro versions, etc. I would prefer if you did not completely re-design her to the point of being unrecognizable. Owning this character does not give permission to take credit for this drawing/reference sheet, the original design shown here in this auction, or the physical pendant. Also, some sort of credit or reference in the modified versions and artwork of this character would be greatly appreciated!
•If this character is traded at any point, I will not be able to make changes to the original ref sheet which comes with this auction.
•Shipping is not included. I will be shipping as soon as possible after the auction, but bear in mind that the reference/certificate will only be printed after your final approval, which means if changes are necessary it may delay the time for shipping. Prices: US - $5, Outside US - $29
Adoptable Ornaments Background:
As I make my pendants and figurines, to me these are more than just casts. Being hand painted, every design is a unique piece of art, and has felt like the pendant is imbued with a bit of the essence of that individual character. As I create these characters, and as I paint the ornament, the story of the character is just as important as the colors and markings, and is consciously kept in mind throughout the painting process. To push the idea further, I've decided to introduce these limited character auctions. On top of the Shisa already being limited edition, these particular paint jobs will never show up again on another Shisa ornament. You'll not only be adopting your very own mini guardian lion-dog, but you'll be able to physically hold your new character! These will be a rare treat, only once every one or two months. It is my hope that these rare beasts give people a tangible way to explore personalities and adventures, which they can share with others in the form of ornaments, stories, and art!
