This is the Egg design that Sheperd bought and also the debut of the race I've been working on for a few months called the Elusolari (Eh-loo-soul-ar-ee) I plan on drawing up a sheet for them very soon but here is some info about them:

The males when copulating with another (male or female) release a seed within their semen which attaches to the inside of the womb, or next to the prostate in males and they grow as a mammal would, gaining nutrients from the parent, in males carrying the offspring their embryonic sac contains a fluid that relaxes the muscles so that they can stretch further; the sack can also double as a make shift womb for beings that do not have them naturally. Females of the race grow seeds in their hair and can insert them into a partner, or plant them to grow a new sproutling in the ground or grow one inside them though if they are to bare a child it has to be another's seed, they cannot impregnate themselves. They can breed with any creature but the offspring develop more of a physical likeness to the one who carried it inside them for the gestation period of 14 months. One child or sproutling is the norm, twins or triplets are very very rare, any more than that is an oddity of nature and the one whom produced such is seen as a figure of fertility and pampered. Their breeding season is in the spring when they produce seeds, some rarities, however produce seeds in the fall or winter.

They can either use photosynthesis, or they can eat carbon based creatures and plants if times become especially dark, though most will travel to find sun, eating only other plant life in between because if they decide to eat flesh they can become addicted and will go to extreme means to get it, some wonder if it effects their brains because they seem to go mad in a sense. Without an energy source and sufficient water, (which they soak up through the ground through roots that attach and dig into the ground if they remain still long enough) they will wilt and die.

They are social creatures and go to great lengths for company, if they feel lonely long enough their leaves or flowers will droop and they can get a rather cynical outlook on life. Most groups are families and are lead by an elder pair whom many take as the wisest and most often go to them for approval or for general advice. When an elder dies there is a large ceremony celebrating their life and retelling stories of them and accomplishments they had achieved, spreading their wisdom to those who did not hear.

They can live for hundreds, or even thousands of years if they take care of themselves properly and conditions remain prime for their existence.

Females are much smaller than males and more commonly bare delicious fruits, flowers or helpful herbs. Males are more likely to develop thicker "skin" and produce spices or herbs that can be refined into spices.

They both can have powers gathered from the energy around them, some life, others control death though both need sufficient energy in themselves to to such. Some even grow up to have no powers and are seen as having a higher purpose, or sent by the spirits to teach humility but also show that you don't need to have magic to be important.

Some plants are rarer than others but certain ones can pick off their leaves or branches, or even flowers to make medications or poisons. No one knows where they come from but they all seem to have a non-sentient counterpart that grows from the earth. They are highly sought after by others species as walking, talking gardens or trophies, some are even used as pretty servants.
