I was at a bit of a loss what to do for Saint Patrick's day - I'm starting to run out of Irish transformation myths and folktales to draw from. So instead, I decided to go a different direction, and make it more of a Furry's dream about the Irish heritage.

Great choice as an Easter Egg for this sequence! I confess I haven't read it, but as I love Medieval History, I have read about it over the years. Also, have you read "Byzantium" by Stephen R. Lawhead? It's about a great adventure story about how an Irish monk saves a group of Vikings from slavery, the Byzantine Emperor from a plot, and even for a time seems to have the affection of a Turkish Princess. Great story, and the ending opened my eyes to the meaning of suffering in a way nothing else I've ever seen could.
It just springs to mind as another instance of the Irish saving us all.
