Hehe, that was a fantastic little read! Had me grinning all throughout it at just how strange of a situation that must be for all the participants and just all the levely where it felt more like a meta commentary in a sense about the whole artistic process.
Putting your ideas out there without too much direction just as the character simply walked out, did his thing and left, with the person staying and putting in extra effort getting to dive in deeper.
I'm curious though ,since you were the one who asked me if you could use the picture for it, did the idea spring up right away , or did you get the idea only later on ?

All writers have their own way of writing; mine is not pre-thinking anything. I go into the story and watch it as I might a movie and transcribe what I see. With the prompt, even though I have the advantage of knowing beforehand what it will be - I do not cheat. I wait just like everyone else and work the story as the other prompters would have to. I do have a rather refined ability at the edit, which has become a part of my writing style; but only because I have been doing the prompt from the beginning way back in 2006. That's what it's all about - it's fun, it's quick, and gives you a lot of practice.
I'm glad you liked it so much. That in turn makes my day all that much brighter.

That is an invitation for which I would give much.
I also imagined myself as the last artist to ask a question, having heard the kind of answers he gave the other artists. I tried to think of a question that could get a revealing response from his, so that I could learn more about him. I came up empty. Which made the last scene so much more satisfying.
Thank you for this.
