wow, replying to something from 3 years ago? :)
anyway i read that the whole breeding group of saarloos wolfhounds made sure inbreeding was kept to a limit. also they where made to be not have problems like hip health problems and so on so i would imgazine that the breed is stronger and kept strong by keep the gene pool wide.
i could be wrong. its 3 years ago i read about them so maybe that has changed or i remember incorrectly.
could you give me some links to pages where i can find that information? im quite curious now.

Oh man if there was a life without canines life would be boring.
I would be very happy to come round and play with your dogs if your busy I love playing with dogs.
My dog is part Paterdale Terrier and Border Colie, male, 3 years old.
Since the first day I had him when he was 3 months old we go fucking nuts round my whole neighbourhood, woods, parks or playgrounds everyone knows me and my dog cause were always so energetic.
your dogs are so adorable n look fun to play n run with.

Rare is sometimes good, though. (besides higher prices XD which isn't so good)
To me having a rare or off-breed would be nice because you're just one of the few who own the beautiful creature. That's kind of why I like mutts too, you usually don't come up with the same mixes over and over (some you will because they're common pure breeds so become common mut mixes as well)

In all the time I spent at a kennels in my gap year, I never once got to look after a Shepherd of any kind. I guess their exceptionally loyal, sometimes defensive nature makes it harder for them to be looked after by strangers, but I still wish I'd gotten to look after one. ;-;

No, but he does look kinda close to that breed of dog. He is a Shiloh Shepard which is a rare breed that is becoming more popular. Here is a pic of another one and a link for the basic information of this breed.

that's what my friend's dog required (creepy little bugger, that one...), although i think the dog chewed through half my leg before they told me he doesn't like visitors...then i gave him a couple treats (oddly i don't remember what they were), and he loved me...
i'm still traumatized

When I first meet the one in my town I believed it was a wolf or half wolf. Plus he was the biggest dog I have ever meet, even bigger than any grand danois I have meet.
Im very tempted to cross him with my dog, just not sure if the size wont be a problem. Plus I want to keep one and that might be a problem too. O well^^
