Another day, another crime to be solved. Chinook had been sent out to investigate reports of two young women who had gone missing on their way home from a nightclub. Nothing about the case seemed noteworthy, and none of the patrons or staff had seen anything that might provide a lead. With no better option, the doe set off to retrace the girls' steps on their way home.
She was just passing a cramped and deserted alleyway when she saw it. A small black puddle on the ground that shone under the light of the streetlamps. Curious, the doe knelt down and brushed a finger over it. It wasn't liquid... in fact it was quite firm and smooth. Almost like...
"Latex," she whispered to herself, head snapping up as she peered into the darkness of the alley. Her stomach clenched as she saw another few congealed drops of the substance further inside.
'Don't even think about it,' she told herself. 'Call for backup first, don't just walk in there!' But she kept following the trail of blackened drops. She could see more solidified splatters on the ground that lead another twenty feet to a large stack of plywood propped against the brick foundations of a building. More black markings and residue stained the edges of the plywood, which looked like it had been stacked there in a hurry.
Eyes narrowing, Chinook lifted her hand swept it aside in a backhanded arc. A sharp gust of wind sped down the alley, flinging the plywood away with a massive crash. Behind it was a large window that seemed to be a basement.
'Gotcha,' she thought in satisfaction. Peering down, she tried to see into the gloom. The murky outlines of walls and pillars soon emerged, along with the broken husks of furniture and appliances. It must have been a storage cellar. But the real question was... is that where those girls had ended up?
Well, she certainly wasn't going to find that out alone. Stepping back, Chinook turned around and reached up to her earpiece. Once she had three or four of the other girls with her, then she'd explore the place.
"Hello? Anyone reading me? This is North Wind. I'm at an alley between..."
A large and squirming mass of blackness shot out of the hole and snared her ankles. Chinook didn't even have time to scream before her feet were yanked out from under her. She hit the ground hard on her stomach, air pushed out of her lungs by the impact. Dazed, she tries to grab hold of something, digging her fingers into gravel and trash as the ebony tentacle constricted around her legs and began dragging her into the basement.
Halfway into the window, Chinook twisted onto her back and began kicking wildly to free herself. The tentacle only grasped tighter and gave another yank, pulling her into the darkness. Chinook was slammed into a wall, and her vision went white as she lost consciousness.
She awoke sometime later, curled up on her side on a concrete floor. She guessed she must still be in the basement, though she had no idea where or how far she'd been taken.
Groaning, the doe pushed herself to her knees, one hand reaching up to feel the large, swollen knot under her hair from the impact that had knocked her out. "Oww... that's gonna leave a nasty bruise," she groaned.
Looking around, she saw she was in a large and open room. Whatever had previously been stored here must have long-since been removed. In fact, the only objects she could actually spot where two shapes near the far wall. Both seemed to be fastened to the pillars holding up the roof. And they were... wiggling?
Scrambling to her feet, Chinook limped closer. She could see now the shapes were actually people, fully encased and sealed in latex cocoons. With a gasp of surprise, she reached out and touched a hand to one, immediately feeling it thrash and shake under her touch as the person inside let out a muffle scream
"Calm down, it's okay! I'm here to help you," She reassured them, forming a blade of ice in her hand and slicing through the latex. The face of a beautiful young brunette woman emerged, her eyes wide with fright and more whimpers coming from under the strip of latex placed over her mouth.
"Bridget Daughtry," Chinook asked. The woman nodded, mumbling a question to the doe.
"Don't worry. My name is North Wind, and I'm here to save you." She got to work cutting away the rest of the cocoon, pulling Bridget out. The young woman was... certainly not dressed as if she just left the club. She was wearing a skimpy and skintight leotard that looked to be formed from a solid piece of latex. Her arms were bound behind her by the same material, as well as her legs.
"Okay... just hold still," the doe instructed. Working carefully, she cut the woman's wrists and ankles free. Had she not been so preoccupied, she would have noticed that rather than falling to the ground, the bindings seemed to meld back with the latex gloves and stockings that Bridget wore.
"Just stay there, okay? I'm going to get Vickie out next," She said, patting the girl's shoulders before slicing open the second cocoon, freeing the black-haired woman inside. Pulling her to her feet, Chinook sliced away the bindings once again before facing both girls with a confident smile.
"Alright, now I know you're probably scared, but don't worry. I'm going to protect you both, okay? We just have to find our way out of here."
"Aww, what's the rush my dear doe," A silky voice rang out of the darkness.
Chinook spun around, pushing both girls behind her as she looked around for the source. "I should've known this was your work, Deathmare," she said with a wry grin. "Sorry but I'm going to have to end this little slumber party, these girls have to get back home."
Another laugh from the darkness. "Do they now? But what if they don't want to leave, hmm?"
An arm wrapped tight around Chinook's throat from behind, two more hands grasping her wrists and wrenching them behind her as both girls suddenly tried to pin the doe down. Caught off-guard by the ambush, Chinook was forced to her knees with a choked yell, unable to find the leverage to throw them off.
"Ngh... wh-what are you... ghhhk girls doing?!"
"Shhh, just stay still," Bridget crooned in her ear. "You don't want to disobey the mistress, do you?" Chinook was about to spit out a very vulgar response, but her ears perked up at the click of hoofsteps from somewhere ahead.
"Very good advice, my dear," the evil mare said as she strode into view, her red eyes boring into Chinook's. "You should have learned by now I don't mind playing rough to get what I want, and I don't have any problems bruising up that lovely little body of yours. After all it just gives me more time to nurse you back to health..."
"What... did you do to them," Chinook demanded, trying to keep her face from reddening at the mare's suggestive tone of voice.
"Come on now, you didn't think those outfits were just for looks, did you,” the mare said with a sneer as she bent down in front of the doe. "Oh no, they're actually very special garments that let me control the minds and actions of whoever wears them." A loud hiss came from behind the mare, and then a black, inky serpent reared up over her shoulder, its yellow eyes sending chills down Chinook's spine as it twined and nuzzled around its owner.
"I don't believe you've had the pleasure of meeting my pet, have you North Wind," Deathmare asked with glee. "I think you'll both get along quite well. Now then, time to slip you into something a little more... controlling."
The snake leaned in closer, and Chinook could see its dripping, pulsating body seemed to be made of living latex. Viscous liquid fangs ebbed and grew out of its jaws as it neared biting range, and the doe knew she had to get out of there fast.
"Hehehe, that's a very nice offer, but I'm afraid I have to refuse," she chirped brightly. Hands clenching into fists, she thrust them back to send a focused blast of wind that ripped Bridget and Victoria away from her and sent them flying across the room. With no time to do anything but hope she hadn't hurt them, Chinook ducked the snake's lunging bite and kicked off into the air.
"Oh ho ho! Trying to escape so soon?!"
A black tendril raced up after her and grasped her ankles once again. "Oh no you don't!" With a growl, Chinook leveled her hand downwards and froze it solid with an ice blast before shattering it with a twist of her legs.
Her victory was short-lived as another tendril wrapped around her neck. Her airway choked off, Chinook reached up with both hands to try and yank it away. Two more tendrils joined the first, grasping her arms and pinning them to her sides as Deathmare began pulling her back towards the ground.
Chinook thrashed and flailed in the bindings, her pulse racing as two bright yellow eyes glowed below her, soon followed by a third. She could now see Deathmare fully covered and engulfed by the latex snake, tendrils bursting out of the protective coat from all sides.
"And here I was hoping you would come along quietly," the transformed mare said in a serpentine hiss. More tendrils wrapped around Chinook's legs, forcing them into a frogtie as she was brought down face to face with Deathmare. "Not very heroic of you to attack the girls you came here to save..."
Chinook paused her struggles to glare into those golden eyes. "Considering they're trying to help you capture me, I don't think I had much choice!"
"Oh no?" The serpent's face actually looked like it was pouting now. "You could have offered to trade yourself for them? Willingly become my loyal slave in return for their safety."
Chinook couldn't help but laugh loudly. "Are you kidding? You'd just take me anyway and still keep them!"
"Hehehehe.... true. But I do so love to hear you goody goodies try to bargain yourselves away," she taunted.
"Oh yeah? Well you know what I love," Chinook fired back. Deathmare tilted her head and leaned in close, her breath tickling Chinook's cheek.
"What's that, my dear?"
The doe's face split into a wide grin. "When you're too busy gloating to notice I slipped loose!" Bringing her arms up with palms splayed wide, she fired two blasts of ice directly at the latex mare, sending her across the room with an enraged scream.
Chinook immediately took to the air, firing more shots before Deathmare could recover. To her dismay, the villain had already leapt to her hooves, the latex dress thickening into a snake tail to give her a naga's appearance. Now faster than ever, she slithered and dodged around ever shot, lunging up to try and snatch the doe out of midair.
Chinook dodged the clutching hands and twirled around before going higher, firing more ice over her shoulder at the charging naga. "Woh! Heh, you're gonna have to do better than that," she teased as she nimbly dodged every tendril and projectile of latex.
Deathmare's grin had turned positively wicked as the snake tail split into eight powerful spider legs. The latex drider braced herself, then leapt powerfully into the air right at Chinook. With a loud yelp, the doe tucked her body and dove for the floor, narrowly dodging as she skidded to a stop.
But when she turned around, there was no sign of her opponent. The ceiling of the room was pitch black... and it seemed to be getting darker.
Drip... drip... drip...
Chinook turned around, ears twitching this way and that as she heard the sounds of falling, gushing liquid all around. Hovering cautiously, she began to dart and flit around the room, trying to make herself less of a target as she fired off the occasional beam of ice in search of the mare.
DRIP... DRIP... DRIP...
It seemed to be coming from everywhere now, making the fur on Chinook's back and neck stand straight up as she tried to find any sign of a window, a door, some way out of the room. She was at too much of a disadvantage here, and she had to get out quick!
DRIP...DRIP.............
The sounds suddenly stopped.
Her every nerve and muscle on edge, Chinook touched down on the floor, looking in all directions for some sign of... well... anything. Heart pounding in her chest, she took a few steps backwards, reaching out blindly for a wall or object she could use to orient herself.
Her hand reached up to her earpiece, hoping somehow she could still transmit from down here. "Hello? Lils? Nizzy? Anyone out there hear me?"
SLOOOOOOORP!
A thick, heavy object suddenly fell on her from the ceiling, knocking her to the ground and pinning her under the immense weight. Chinook felt the thick, gooey sensation of latex all over her and knew that Deathmare had dropped down on her from above.
With a muffled scream, the doe tried to fight and push her way out of the mass of latex, but what felt like thousands of tiny strands wrapped around her body, keeping her stuck directly in the middle. Despite being completely encased, she could breathe easily through the material, though it did little to ease her panic. That infernal chuckling came from all directions, and then a pair of lips descended on her cheek.
"That's right my dear, just relax." They kissed their way down to her neck, then back up to nip at one of her ears. "It'll be over before you know it..."
"Ngh... NO!" With her last burst of energy, Chinook flung a burst of wind that propelled her out of the latex. She had to get out of here, fly as fast and far as she could until help arrived. Maybe if she could just put some distance between them...
More strands launched themselves upwards to ensnare her, snatching the wearied doe out of the air. Chinook screamed and cursed and fought, but the tendrils only grasped her tighter. Very, very slowly, they began pulling her back towards the giant mass of latex, where three glowing yellow eyes framed an eager smile.
Poor Chinook! Will she escape from this horrible trap? Will she be rescued? Or will she turn into a seductive mind-controlled servant of the devious Deathmare?! Only time will tell! Let's just hope she can continue to resist!
