It was 2 hours to show time. Silk Shine was presenting her models the dresses they’ll be wearing from her new royal line.
“All right ladies. I know things have been rough for all. Some more than others.” She said, and looked at Brainstorm.
Brainstorm blushed.
“But, we must suck it up and push through it.” She continued, and glared at Topaz.
“And don’t forget. Your careers are all on the line, so no funny business.” She said sternly, making sure Topaz heard.
Topaz gulped and began to sweat. Brainstorm stroked her mane, to soothe and assure her that everything will be alright. Topaz removed his hoof and gave him an irritated look, but she was really pretending so not to arouse any suspicion. Soon, Silk Shine presented their dresses. Brainstorm’s dress was big and poofy, with a thick layer of petticoats.
This was necessary, as it hid Brainstorm’s lower half very. Soon, it was time to get ready. Brainstorm grabbed his dress and was about to head for his dressing, when he noticed Topaz was having a difficult time getting her dress on. Brainstorm decided to help.
“You need any help with that dress?” He asked, in his girl voice.
“No, I don’t your help to look good.” Said Topaz, still trying to keep up her appearance.
“Well, okay. No skin off my bones.” Said Brainstorm, and headed toward the dressing room.
Just then, Topaz told Brainstorm to wait. Brainstorm stopped and looked back at her.
“Maybe, I do need some help.” Said Topaz, sheepishly.
Brainstorm made getting her dress on much easier. She had no idea how strong he was, as he tightened her corset.
“Thank you.” Said Topaz, now in her dress.
Brainstorm looked at her.
“What?” Asked Topaz.
“Well, since I helped you get your dress on, and saved your career from going down the toilet. Would a lovely pony such as yourself, share your beauty secrets with old an ugly mare like me?” Said Brainstorm, playfully, as he flattered her.
Topaz blushed.
“You’re not ugly.” She said.
“You really think so?” Said Brainstorm, curiously.
“You’re definitely beautiful enough for Silverdollar. Or, maybe he needs glasses.” Joked Topaz.
Brainstorm giggled, and the two left for his dressing room. Topaz was a big help. She fixed his hair, makeup, and helped him relax. You would think they have become friends, or maybe Topaz will literally anything to get him out. Soon, it was time for the show to begin.
Brainstorm was arranged to go last. He felt a little better knowing Topaz won’t mess with him, but he was still nervous. Topaz gave Brainstorm some words of encouragement.
“You look lovely. Just get out there and enjoy it.” She said.
“How do you know?” Brainstorm asked.
“Because I made you beautiful.” Said Topaz, and she kissed him on the cheek.
Brainstorm blushed and rubbed his check. It was finally his time to shine. He marched onto the runway looking ever so joyful. He smiled when he needed to, struck his poses, and nothing went wrong. He had never felt so confident.
It was the best show he had ever done.
