This is a response to
poetigress's Thursday prompt for (technically yesterday) 2/26/09. The prompt is here. It's a bit "weirder" than my normal style, and writing in the present tense is shaky for me sometimes. But I think it worked out well.

Ooh boy, what a story! Short, simple, delicious. Totally different approach from any other's response, I really liked somebody took the bricks from the background. And what a twist. The story really builds up so much tension towards the end, I was worried the protagonist would faint or something. Then:
"I'm a lesbian."
I exploded into laughter. How could I describe the feeling? The guy had a million dollars and was walking to the shop to buy something he has dreamed his whole life and then he is told they don't accept dollars in the shop. And the metaphors with bricks... nice touch.
Very, very entertaining little piece, I truly enjoyed reading this. Good work.
