I really liked this, especially with the brick motif. it's a good way to just pull the entire thing together.

Ooh boy, what a story! Short, simple, delicious. Totally different approach from any other's response, I really liked somebody took the bricks from the background. And what a twist. The story really builds up so much tension towards the end, I was worried the protagonist would faint or something. Then:

"I'm a lesbian."

I exploded into laughter. How could I describe the feeling? The guy had a million dollars and was walking to the shop to buy something he has dreamed his whole life and then he is told they don't accept dollars in the shop. And the metaphors with bricks... nice touch.

One of the most original prompts I've read this week. I never would have thought to use the bricks. I had a feeling something funny was going on, and I think the fact that she was a lesbian wrapped it up nicely.
