Ungorp is just over 73 feet tall, just above average for adult Wodlenians. He is in his late twenties, a college graduate, and a researcher at a college (his alma mater) near the Irnsbo's den. He finds that an Earthling, Alec DiCarlo, has crash landed nearby and he meets him. "Ungie" learns Earth language, cultures, etc.
and is fascinated by it. He can't wait to visit it in person even though he knows he will tower over people and buildings alike and he only hopes he won't cause harm.

He is imaginative and has a fun sense of humor. To quote one Earth expression Alec told him, "I'm crazy...LIKE A FOX!"
