Last but not least are the Hozlin. These brutes are essentially bipedal Hozkul, though they lack the air filters the Hozkul benefit from. Therefore, they cannot venture into the bad air caves that the Hozkul have claimed and are forced to the caverns with fresher air closer to the surface. Despite this proximity to the surface, though, they never venture onto it; their eyes are far too sensitive to light to ever venture out in daytime and even moonlight can seem very bright to them. These same eyes help them pierce the pitch darkness in the deep caverns underground, lit only by small clusters of mosses of luminescent crystals.
Compared to other lin, you could almost never tell these brutes were related. Yet, these lin actually bear the closest resemblance to the original lin of the shore; hunched and sturdy. They never developed such an upright posture due to the caverns they dwell in, where they'd just hit their heads on the ceilings. Despite being cavern dwellers, these lin are actually the largest of all lin, standing up to two meters at the head.
The Hozlin live with the Hozkul in their underground empires, without many rights; previously slaves, they now have the right to live and right to own property, but do not have any representation in the government. They cannot vote or make any changes in politics; they just have basic rights. Many Hozlin are upset and angry about this and have rebelled, forming their own rebel kingdom that fights against the Hoz Kingdom.
