Rainbow Dash hasn't been feeling herself lately. For one thing, her wings are completely gone - but she's not too bothered because her newfound adeptness at swimming almost makes up for it. And, well, she can breathe underwater now. But she's also developed an insatiable appetite - for fish...
I've seen some artists doing these sharkpony hybrids... and I've been meaning to draw an anthro shark for quite some time because they're so cool, but I haven't found the inspiration I need... so I thought, why not draw a sharkpony? Rainbow Dash would be perfect for it! So I drew my own version of a sharkpone. I didn't look up any other sharkponies beforehand, so I don't know how similar this is exactly. *Googles* Okay, so the face on this is notably more shark-y than what others have drawn, and the ears are definitely inspired by anthro sharks as opposed to just being pony ears. Regardless, I hope you like it!
The background is simple, as always with me.> tfw backgrounds are hard and boring I wanted to evoke water, for obvious reasons. In previous pictures with circles or ovals in the background, I've used shape tools, but I did it freehand this time for a more natural look.

Yes, her design is partly inspired by the blacktip reef shark - mainly the markings and tail shape.
