I cannot possibly use words to portray how grateful I am. This is absolutely beairful, everything from the characters themselves to the idyllic scenery that just completes it. I love the evening light red sky, as if the sun was just starting to go down.

Ah, thank you so very much for this gorgeous piece! You know what I love about this piece? This petals blowing around them, I love serene backgrounds because sometimes the backgrounds add just as much to the piece as the characters do. And are those cherry blossom petals? (I love cherry blossoms!)

And yes i absolutely agree about backgrounds. I love when i get to do them because it just brings a whole new element of story telling to the piece and really sets a feeling. Plus background lighting really helps tie/tone characters together.
I thought you would prefer the petals to my other ideas, i hope you don't mind of course but i snooped around your pretty gallery a little and really noticed all the flowers (i love love love your samurai themes btw) so i defineitly i wanted a cherry blossom feel to them but since its a summer piece and not spring time i went with white so it can be interpreted as either summer jasmine or even apple blossoms bringing in the autumn season. (i kinda over think my art a lot lol)
Which thank you so much, i really wanted to make backgrounds best suited with the individual characters to complement colors, plus even though its YCH, everyone's romantic story in these is different in their own special way, making them the exaaact same i personally feel like would hurt the overall mood/feeling of the art piece.

Haha, you are welcome to snoop in my gallery- I actually do not mind at all! It makes me happy knowing others enjoy the commissions I get of my characters (and yes, I LOVE samurai and Asian themed art so you'll see more from me!) To me that shows you actually put thought into your pieces, put your commissioner's feelings and characters into consideration, and not just use "cookie cutter" ideas- by that I mean everyone's piece looks identical sans the characters used and there's nothing unique about it.

Ooh, jasmine and apple blossoms- nice call! I definitely approve- but then anything that smells nice or involves petals makes me happy so I'm not picky, lol.
