not really...Deadalus was much bigger for one....and completly different configuration. they only share the ball nose.

Not really, the Sunspot class Scout is a non-canon design that deviates from the Daedalus class and if you pay attention to the registration number you'd notice that the Sunspot class predates the Daedalus class but not by much. Some of my Daedalus Era designs over on DA are in fact variants of the Daedalus class; with the Sunsport class the Primary hull, the nacelles, the neck and the rear shuttle bay are the only things that were carried over to the Daedalus class Cruiser.
