I like his sea slug hair style. It's a great color choice for the black and green . Te triangle shape pattern is a good feature to this character, I always imagined a shark is sort of Triangular so the pattern works well.
The texture of the green is a unique feature, but it seems to rough a texture to me. No, it's too strong that's what it is, the texture is to noticeable that it almost takes away from the character. It's a great idea but I would advice lowering the opacity a bit so it doesn't become dominate. hope that helps you out for later use.
