If I may suggest something, regarding the character, and visual depictions...

Ear licking. Ear licking to show off as much tongue as possible. Tongue that I had originally visualized as solely green, but, in retrospect, I now hold out hope for an overdone rainbow of masterfully clashing hues.

What the fuh... I think I just disproved the idea of pornography addiction. Because I've got some of my stuff that I could be writing, or transcribing, but... damn I want to see the trainwreck, in a depraved but completely non-perverted fashion.

I always make it a point to ask about the character's personality.
Sometimes the answers are pretty generic, but if you get creative with the questions, the creators can really rise to the occasion.

I've seen that far too many times... people draw or create characters, and like the dork that I am, I want to learn more about their personalities and histories, and there tends to be very little thought put into that sort of thing.

Is it WEIRD that I find personalities to be far more appealing than a character's physical design?

As a long-time Sonic fan, I can relate to this. XD It gets funny when you can't catch a glimpse of the character behind all the hair and accessories. A character must have accessories.
This gives a pretty clear view of how Electra thinks. Or doesn't. ^^;
