When I made a trip to St. Louis in February I went north of there to Grafton, IL along the Great River Road. I saw tons of American Bald Eagles. This is one of my nicer shots I took of em. This is a pair of Eagles One is an Adult Eagle and the other is a very young juvenile Bald Eagle probably less than a year old. The Eagles don't get Full White Head and Tails until they're 5 years old. I am not sure if the one on the left is a parent of the youngster or not, but was a neat site anyway.
This area draws alot of bald eagles during the Winter months. Due to the confluences of 3 major rivers; The Mississippi, The Illinois, and the Missouri Rivers. All that area makes it good Winter fishing for the eagles
