Altair_The_Lugia! SInce he seen my submission on The WB and Kids' WB!, he was surprised that he could've gotten those. But to cheer him up, I gave him the logos that he remembered from his childhood: the 2004-2010 Cartoon Network (TOON, TOON-W) logo and the legendary 2000-2015 Boomerang (BOOM) logo. First, looking back to its history, Cartoon Network started on the first day of October of 1992 and became one of the best kids channels in the world, next to Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. They began showing classic cartoons including the Looney Tunes, MGM cartoons, and most of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons. They kept showing those until around the late 1990s (1996 to be exact) when Cartoon Network finally came up with the idea of making original programming that became known as the Cartoon Cartoons such as Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken/I Am Weasel, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, and Codename: Kids Next Door, which they gain much popularity for 90s kids. Even in the modern world, they still continue to make great shows (with a few exceptions, CN Real and Teen Titans Go! of course) like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, The Life & Times of Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo!, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Class of 3000, Ben 10 (Original, Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, Omniverse, etc.), Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, The Amazing World of Gumball, Clarence, and We Bare Bears. As much as the shows were great, Cartoon Network will still be a great channel today. Anyways, on to the logo you're viewing, I think they did very creative with the logo. I grew up loving this logo ever since it was introduced in the CN City era. Plus, it gives a nice similarity to the legendary checkerboard logo (I'll get to that later.). Moving on to Boomerang, the sister channel of Cartoon Network that began as a block at the same time as the original channel's launch, and became a sister channel on April Fools Day of 2000. When CN was starting making new shows on its channel, they need to get rid of some of the classic cartoons that people have seen over and over which made a fantastic idea for a sister channel. And thus, Boomerang was born. The logo that came with the launch was LEGENDARY. The B in Boomerang was one of the most creative and best works from Cartoon Network, EVER! I mean, it does look like a boomerang, am I right? But sadly, this logo was discontinued because some idiot (Stuart Synder, as he was leaving Cartoon Network) decided to rebrand to channel by giving it a new logo that looks similar to the current Cartoon Network logo which most people did not like, especially me. Well, it's the president's fault for breaking our hearts. We will always miss the old Boomerang logo and it's glory. Anyways, that's it for today, if you have a logo to suggest to me on Logo Bunch, just comment down below! Check ya later!
