Backstory: Gabriel started out on the mainland when he was a real little kid. He didn't have many extended family members as he went to the islands for a vacation trip when he was 5. They were out on a boat and sadly a storm caught the boat off guard and capsized the ship. Gabriel was seperated from his family at this point. Though he was resuced my coast guard. Most of the people didn't survive on the accident... He was soon placed into an adoption home to hopefully find a family that would care for him. He had lost his parents and no other family to really turn to. He needed something... three years passed from that day and when he was 8, some kids outside the orphanage were playing soccer, at least a smaller version of it. He managed to join in, learning the very bare bone basics but he found he loved it. And it was evident he was good at it from the start. Someone finally adopts him into their family. Turns out, their kid plays soccer too. So Gabriel got into soccer by that route. Which from there it grew on him. Now at the age of 19, he's heading off the islands to make a name for himself with the big shots. He knows it will be a tough road, but he knows deep down his parents are smiling at him.
