Hello all and welcome to 2017!
We figured new year means a new opportunity to start things off with a kick and so to kick off the new year we're putting this fine fabulous design up for folks to have a chance to win via a DTA (Draw To Adopt)

But wait! Before folks close the tab because they are thinking "man I hate DTA contests cause I spend all this time drawing the design but then don't win and have now 4 pictures of a design I don't own..." this ain't your average DTA raffle! For this DTA, you don't have to draw -this- particular design...you just gotta draw any stardragon to enter! It could be your own stardragon, it could be a friends stardragon, it could even be a commission you paid someone to draw or were paid to draw that has a stardragon. If it is a stardragon then it can be an entree to this raffle! That way when the event ends, even if you didn't win at least the picture you got was not proverbially thrown to the wind. But we'll break down the nitty gritty details below.

Dem Rules and Nitty Gritty Details!
This contest/event lasts from the start of January to the end. (Jan 1-31)

How to enter:
1: Draw a picture of a stardragon (any stardragon. yours! A friends! A commission of one!)
2: Submit it on your FA page
3: Down below there will be a section dedicated to entries. Simply reply to that thread with a link to the picture. Please remember to do this part because if you just submit the image without posting about it in the comment section, it will not be counted as an entry for the raffle.

As this is the first time we're doing a DTA like this, we're going to put a cap limit of entries to 5 per person. By all means you can draw more than 5 stardragons in January, that'd be awesome! But you can only submit five entries for the raffle.

But guys, I'm not an artist. I commission folks. :C
Not a problem! For the sake of this event, if you are a commissioner, you are welcome to submit stardragon art you commission to have drawn for you in this month as an entree. Just keep in mind that the artist who did the commission is -ALSO- able to enter using the same picture. So in a sense its a two for one entry.
In the event you commissioned the picture, follow the same steps as above or simply link to the artists' submission if you don't want to upload it yourself or the Artist prefers folks do not repost their work. As long as the artist's submission says it was a pic done for you, you're good to go! And when you comment below, simply add (commissioned: buyer) to your entry
In the event you were commissioned to draw the picture, follow the same steps as above but simply add (commissioned: artist) to your entry
(As an aside, in the unfortunate event you do commission someone to draw your stardragons but they take too long and are going to miss the deadline, contact us and as long as we can confirm you did in fact hire someone we will count it as one of your entries. Because the last thing we want to do is have someone buy an art to try to enter but end up missing out because the person they hired was unable to complete on time.)

This event may be a little rough for folks with no durgs at all. Down below there will be a section of sign-up for folks who are offering to do commissions for money or willing to do freebies for folks. (Please note however that unlike commissions, if someone draws you a freebie gift you are not allowed to enter that as an entree on your half. Only the artist who drew the freebie is able to enter it.)
If that is still not your cup of tea, you are also more than free and welcome to actually draw the stardragon above as your entry.

Ok so I just bought this one design and it came with a bunch of extra art that I am uploading in the month of January, can that extra art count as entrees?
For this event, no. If you get a design and it has a half a dozen extra pictures with it, those extra pictures cannot be used for entering the raffle. This event is mainly being done to try to promote the creation of new art.

Ok so I bought a commission in December and the artist just finished it in January, can I count that as an entree?
For this event, yes.

I am an artist and would love to get stardragon commissions for this
Down below there will be a section just for you to promote your sales and offers! Feel free to comment in that thread with a link to some samples and your price sheets.

I am an artist but my friend is not and I'd rather they win in my place. Can I enter on their behalf?
You are more than free to enter art with the intent to simply gift the design to a friend in the event you win. However for simplicity sake, the images you draw will be under your name and you cannot put a friend's name in your place directly.

I am not an artist...and I am sad. :c
Fear not, there will be other events in the upcoming year including ones for writers and another couple of freebie-for-alls!

At the end of the month, all entries will be tallied up along with names and put into the RNG machine where a name will be selected. The design falls into the same rules TOS as all other stardragon designs (you know the ones. Can alter markings/hair/colours a bit. Design cannot be resold for money though you are free to gift/trade it away if you so wish. Etc) You are free to draw pics and enter with the intent to simply gift the design to a friend in the event you win.
