For the very first "Throwback Thursday" of 2017, I have an interesting 'photo-op' to start off the New Year...
For a majority of Novembers - since moving down to south Florida (in 1994) - I'd been spending Thanksgiving at the Miami home of
Funimal and his family. During this decade, said home has been hosting guests, both human and animal. The animals, in this case, have been stray cats in the neighborhood, who usually show up in the backyard (where dry cat food is left out on the back porch for them to dine on)...
When I'd showed up for the 2016 edition of Thanksgiving, some of the cats were already in the backyard, so I'd decided to take of a picture of them. What I didn't realize, until after said picture was developed, was that it became a piece of 'accidental trick photography' - when the cats and kittens appeared transparent! Was Funimal feeding 'ghost cats'?! What holiday is this? Thanksgiving? Or Halloween?!
In actuality, I was taking the 'photo-op' from inside Funimal's home, through the back door (so that I wouldn't disturb the cats' free meal). Apparently, the glass of the door reflected the tile floor of the dining room I was in, so that the concrete porch in the backyard ended up looking like a grid (instead of one solid block) - with some of the lines passing through the feeding felines (making them all look like poltergeist pussycats)!
