As the month of April ends, so does "National Poetry Month". Therefore, I have one last 'fat furry' limerick, illustrated by yours truly (as part of a proposed comic series, "Extraordinarily Fat Furries")...
When I used to attend 'furry conventions' along the Eastern Seaboard (e.g. "AnthroCon", "Megaplex", etc.) during the last two decades, individual groups - who specialized in a specific sort of 'furry fandom' - would hold separate parties in other venues, like hotel rooms and such. I'm surprised that some of these individual groups haven't considered holding conventions of their own, to cater to said specialized fandom. (Or, maybe some of them have, and I just didn't hear about them yet.)
Certainly, there must be enough 'fat furry' artists and writers (and fans) out there to organize a convention of their own. What it could be called depends upon the possible location (such as "Fill-adelphia Furries", "Fat-lanta Furs", "Wide Plains Zoo", etc.), or the time of the year it's being held (e.g. "Thanksgiving Obese Beast Feast", "Summer Burst", etc.), or the specific fat fauna being represented (e.g. "Mephat Meeting" [for skunks], "Dry Land Whale Watch", "Behe-Myth-Con", etc.).
Whatever the outcome, I could foresee a gathering of 'fat furries', holding their convention once a year in a suitable hotel, within proximity to a variety of eateries (natch). That being proposed, I now present an apropos illustrated limerick about this particular event, and part of the goings-on with a few of its attendees. Enjoy!

Excellent find, Cloudchaser! I'm a big fan of Bill Geist of CBS News' "Sunday Morning", and seeing him report on this specific artery-clogging eatery is a real eye-opener (as well as something to provide more fodder for 'fat furry' artists and writers)! Thanks for the link!
