I fell in love with this type of rings and I just had to try making some myself! Even if they ate all of my precious winter break... it was worth it.
Inner diameter and width from left to right:
1. 19 mm x 8 mm
2. 16 mm x 8,6 mm
3. Taken
4. (with stripe) Taken
Price: $20 each (shipping included).
Because the rings are handmade, they're a bit uneven. The differences are usually smaller than 0,5 mm, though, so it's nothing to worry about!
I just regret that I didn't label the wood neatly, now I can't say which is which ;_; 1 is probably cherry, 2 and 4 birch, and 3 maple, but I can be mistaken.
I'm organizing a FREE GIVEAWAY for one of those rings, don't miss the chance! Details here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8099534/

Black coral may react a bit like wood. I have been able to soak it in ammonium hydroxide solution and have it become flexible for a time before it dries.
I think Michael's crafts stores still have some black coral beads, although they may have been clearing them out recently. They had both black and the bleached black that looks golden.
