When LEGENDS released the Godzilla movie and I saw the full image of the big guy at the airport I thought "That's it, the Japanese are done!"

This Godzilla scares the shit out of me. All other Godzilla incarnations and I would probably want to see him. As for Shin-Godzilla I don't even want to be in the same country as this guy!
Of course he is a lot bigger and tougher than our Godzilla...(compensating for something Japan?) However they are in competition with the Turtle guy.
Props to Japan for taking Godzilla in a whole new dynamic direction. They kicked ass! This is the type of renovation that characters need!

Loved the jaw.
The style of the new atomic breath? Okay, not bad. not sure why it should be such a tight beam/laser-like, but okay.
The tail? Odd, but sure. Although the trailer shows terrible aim with breath and tail used in conjunction...
...They lost me at the "back lasers". yes, horrible for fighters to fly into, but bloody freaking ridiculous.

The goal for this Godzilla is to make him as alien as the original 54 script tried to make him, but now that we have the technology, we can actually do that on screen.
The uncanny shaking movements of his head, the split jaw, the seemingly unflinching nature, the bugged eyes.

No, you're right. This Godzilla is... the logical evolution.
The scene where he is driven to retaliate because he's under attack from something that DOES hurt him... it's horrifying. As for why he doesn't STOP firing his breath... i will quote the script.
"It's like a kettle; once it is boiling and whistling, you can't stop it until it has cooled off."

the split jaw thing is a cool addition but all in all, i really dislike this godzilla design... after the 90's and the 2000's designs which were cool on so many levels, this feels like a huge step back, to me at least... and not in a good way. i just don't understand why you would want to willingly return to the super cheesy and silly design of the 50's and 60's after you had the really cool 90's and 2000's designs...
my first impression upon seeing it was literally "this looks like a sock puppet" and unfortunately, it seems as though i just can't get over this. which kinda hurts given that i grew up with Goji and he's one of my childhood heroes

I like this Godzilla but the new GAMARA? FUCKING HELL!
And no matter what anyone says I LIKE our 2015 version of the Big Guy.
And now they're reinventing King Kong SPECIFICALLY for him to fight Godzilla.
It might be good, it might be bad. THIS one I'll defiantly wait and see for myself.
But I LOVE your rendition of Big G. It very much reminds me of Wally Wood's style! :)
