Meet Mina! Shes a fortune teller variant of the Cirthrotics with a third all seeing eye. I took some sabertooth for this, and attatched a viewing ball on her tail. As a fortune teller, she owns a crystal ball for the table itself, to show fortunes, whether good or bad. Just dont look into her tail, you might not see things you wont want to see...

The tattoo on her left foreleg she got while on an adventure to find her gift, and the rose has been an imprint from the day she was born! each fortuna has a different flower running down their sides, each indicating a personality trait and area of expertise. In Mina's case she is very flirty and coy, and the matters of love and lust being the object of most of her fortunes. No two fortuna will have the same flower, and when a new one is born, usually another has fallen. But not all is doom and gloom, the gems in her teeth are flavored, so any lick she gives her large canines gives her a suggery rush, or anyone else brave enough to lick them at any rate...

part of me was considering what to use as an animal to base it off of, saber came in cuz I actually pictured the character with those lovely front teeth :3

Not all are sabers, a good majority are, but its a mostly feline race, with a rare few recessive genes from other species, there was once tell of a ringtail who could lead travelers to immense wealth....
main characteristics are their flower and mystical third eye, which is closed until they unlock their power, which happens during a spiritual journey... as well as their tail ball, which, depending on their specialization, can make someone see something horrifyingly bad having to do with what the flower represents.

i need to practice XD you know you can practice off anything in my gallery :) sometimes i just draw something perfectly (not very often so it makes me happy n.n) and i dont mind if others use it to help their own drawing :) ive had to look up different artworks to get something just right

it can still have that story :) just not so blocky more swirls and vine like so it can be easier to draw in multiple picture situations you could put some blocky elements in it though n.n this backstory and subspecies are a keeper though i really look forward to seeing your designs :)

Shido may have the biggest freak out for her amazing plush weinie dog but if you look yours has the most conversation on the character :) and theirs nothing a comic or story writer loves more then a thought out character n.n

:) stories are whats most important thats why this contest wasnt about skill in art if i wanted the best drawn characters i might as well trade or commission them but for my comic i want each character to be able to have a backstory and an actual character to love or hate and Mina really is one of them i can already see her and her kind in Cirthrotic encampments
;w; i got nothing ive been so into my Teko book i havent had time to think of a map idea but let me get back to you on that ill figure out something today :) im thinking vaguely that i want the abandoned circus's set up nearish to human settlements usually with hundreds around the world :) the Humans dont like them because they are mostly mean spirited and like to play cruel jokes on others so they keep them as pets/slaves (not really sure yet if its sfw or nsfw just so many ideas @.@)
that's cool, just give it some thought before jumping into it. it helps find direction and develop story when you have a setting for everything. it can be fluid, since its a fantasy story, and you can be very creative with how things are spread out, how many of what is where, what shape is the landscape, how far apart things are, stuff like that!
ive done something rough before, it kinda helps if you start with basic shapes and locations of things, then try and make some land around it, outline any major continents if you have any in mind, and leave the rest as water. for my folder of things labeled under "tyr" I had a map drawn a while ago, kind of a single large continent with the rest being ocean sort of deal.
