I recently figured out a different way to do paws that make them easier to work with, so here I am trying out some variations.

Well it's not a full tutorial so I haven't shown how I construct it, but basically I draw the full shape, and then for each toe I line the pad which comes up a third to a halfway on the front. The pad line is an arc, it does not wrap around the toe completely horizontal. And then the claw it drawn on top of the arc.
So then, for the underside of the paw, the toe pad is actually quite bulbous.
