Petram Beasts Information:
Related to fu lions/dogs, Petram Beasts are large, magic-infused creatures "born" when humans use great skill or dedication or passion to bring one of those qualities into a raw mineral--called a Source Stone. Those humans are called "Attachments" due to the strong bond formed during creation of Petram Beasts. It takes over a year of focus and care for the Source Stone (usually a large chunk of gem or rock) to start forming into a Petram Beast. Companions form over two to three years, Mounts over three to five years, and Guardians over five to ten years. All of that effort makes a Beast, which is loyal to its maker (rarely more than one) and which will serve that individual as long as they live. The Beasts will often serve the family of the individual after passing, though sometimes, they re-solidify as a tombstone-like structure at the person's gravesite, never leaving their side. For such deep loyalty as that, they are revered creatures, and their makers are highly respected...
