My gratitude to both of them as it allowed me a moment of introspect in a conversation with a very polite and gentle Panda.
Enjoy...

Don't doubt the medicinal value of alcohol. It's a good way to help you fall asleep (not to be confused with passing out drunk) and it is an effective pain-killer. I work with a guy who drinks like an alcoholic because of major back problems. He says ibuprofen and Percocet don't do a thing for him. The only thing thing that numbs the pain is a strong mix of whiskey.

Ah yes, this reminds me of the time I showed up at your door with nothing but the clothes on my back, a cleaver and a necklace made of small bones.
Like you, I was a bit bewildered, but you took me in, fed me dinner and told me of a job as a cook down the road a pace.
Again, thank you.

A novel concept, to me anyway. I supposed I've interacted with characters before, but not in a formalized setting and never as part of the actual story.
I like some of the 'in your face' introspective questions. "Was God accurate when he made you?" A very interesting question with equally interesting answers.

Interesting....Will there be more of the Pandas' story forthcoming, I hope? Sometimes I wish that some of my interactions with my alter-ego/OC could be a little less annoying, but then his name is Murphy, after all. We won't even think about the the Commodore,or her "sister", not to mention that damn Elf! They do make my imagination an interesting place... THE COLONEL

And this is a prime example of why you're such a terrific writer. Your creativity has creativity! I wonder if this kind of writing could be called "external introspection." You step outside yourself, introduce yourself, speak to yourself, tell yourself a story, then proceed to tell everyone else what you've been told. It boggles my mind sometimes. If this is a form of craziness, sign me up!

                    Where e'r Consumption’s victims are,
In palaces or halls,
Or in the rural cottages.
With neatly white-washed walls.
Sink not into despondency.
There's naught for you to fear,
By the pale and flickering taper.
Or the brilliant chandelier;
But drink the draught, ‘twill save you,
That bids Consumption fly.
Take DR. SWAYNE'S WILD CHERRY,
And do not, do not die!
He comes in a perfectly formed, if vacant manikin; and leaves with a new life. An unusual idea, but so workable!

This panda strikes me as a bit Saint Germain-esque, at least in regards to his entrance and the way he carries himself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Count_Saint-Germain_(vampire)
In short, this is quite the nice little story, the concept is especially fascinating and I love the detail of you being represented as Vixyy, possibly alluding that this could have taken place after Icon(maybe even on the same day).
Can't wait to read more about this Tempest fellow in the future and I hope your dogs are well again.
P.S. I apologize for not being able to make it to Megaplex this year, but I hope to rectify that next year.
