Midas is the 3 feet tall chieftain of the largest tribe of Goblins that is mainly composed of Stone Goblins within the Kingdom of Drosera. He is somewhat of an unnoficial Goblin King due to his large reputation among Goblins.
He make sure all tribes are in good terms with eachother while strengthening the goblin relations. Although Stone Goblins aren't as physically gifted as the others they have innate magic abilities from attuning to the earth.
In some rare cases like with Midas, Stone Goblins can awaken a special talent for Geomancy which gives them minor manipulation over rock and stone but only Midas has awakened it to a degree high enough to earn him chieftain status. And traditionally he even turns the strongest warriors to golden statues, even if they are non-Goblins, gifting them with immortality as they watch over the others in elevated positions in villages and cities.
Midas is highly regarded in the Kingdom of Drosera and is a member of the Royal House, being heavily favored by Felix and in great relations, though Midas spends most of his time in his own Village with his people.
Before Felix took over the entire continent, Midas Fough Tirelessly with surrounding Nations, Tribes and even other Goblins. So it makes him one of the few who are older than Felix himself. Meaning Stone Goblins have exceptionally long, near-immortal lifespans, hence the honor in petrification to symbolize perfect immortality.
