A nice large (I'd say huge, but I saw a REALLY huge one a year ago) caterpillar chewing up the leaf on our dacha. It's about 6cm in length (the huge one I refer to was longer and thicker than my index finger).
This, as all other today's shots, is with EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III lens (what does that III mean?) even though it wouldn't by far have been the tool of choice for half of them -- but I didn't have any other lenses handy today.
Now, the thing doesn't focus AT ALL on anything closer than 1.5m away. And I had no tripod, either. Yay macro shots :) And yay digital :) If I was shooting on film, I'd spends two rolls on this and the next critter.
