Also, I sometimes wonder why anyone even continues the whole space program anyway since something goes wrong every time NASA launches a manned flight these days.

Well, not EVERYtime they launch a mission. And it's good because they must explore space. I find space exploration fascinating myself. Plus, if they stopped the program, the states would fall behind and China and Russia would be all over them. It's a point of pride for America that they have a space program.
