EDIT NOTE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5015725/ is the current model for Iyatsu's teeth, if for some reason that's important. The model in this ref is outdated.
I'm really sorry guys, lol.
This is what, the fourth ref...?
Anyway, this is after much bantering with my inner self about what should be what.
Just for now, I'm gonna say that this is the current (and I really hope final, but that's always open to change) manifestation of my FURRIESONA.
With less words.
I made it finally so that its decent.
Like an actual character ref with oh god what kind of anatomy is that...?
And, news to some people, I am getting a fursuit in the near future, and will be using this... so... yeah this is why.
I'm excited to have one.
Just gonna be a partial... but I'll get a full eventually.
So more about the sona:
After a few badges and little sketches, the big ears somehow changed color from matching the other grey to being its very own darker grey.
I decided to hell with it, makes it interesting.
The ears are able to become erect but are in no way hard (I tried to avoid this language but its YOUR fault for turning every damn word into a euphemism), can bend, flop, and are covered in an abundant, soft fur.
I made an attempt at depicting him with draconic teeth, as part of the dragon side of him.
So you know what, if that doesn't look very much like dragon teeth, or you have some problem with it, just know the maw thing is DRAGON.
The grey oval on his muzzle kinda morphed upwards... and my only restriction on that is that it has to be an oval and it has to exist.
I might just make it huger at some point.
I added more tufts of fur to him all over the place to make him appear a little more furrrryy.
I dislike horse hair and it looked to me like he had horse hair going on.
It's just not nearly as fluffy as other cute little things.
The fur's there, just a bit short in some places, and other places gets a little wild.
I let his whiskers grow out so they don't become construed as bristly either.
Ew bristly.
He's got the draconic nostrils, yeah... which may or may not have a ridge above them.
That's not important to me, so long as it doesn't look 100% dragon or 100% SQUARE.
I don't know whether to make his hands hands or paws.
I think I'd like either.
The fursuit would have paws, though.
His feetpaws are supposed to be kangaroo, which may or may not have claws which would not be roo claws, they would be dragon claws.
Sorry guys, I just can't draw paws...
His hair: okay now I've gotten a lot of stuff about his hair.
Just as a little insider, I tried to make his hair like mine, I'm just really LAZY and drew it in clumps.
My hair is curly and long and brown.
That's the only way I've gotten my drawing to work.
He always has that hair, which is curly and probably matted to an extent.
It's dyed.
Dyed brown as a pose to the natural blue son of a beesting retawded.
I've seen some things with people drawing me with straight hair, which kinda worked out and I have no qualms with... I just didn't make it straight originally.
I guess you can just do his hair up any way you want that's within reasonable limits... if you can draw curly hair successfully, blah...
He's clean, trust me, but... I kinda want him to have this matted, unkept look.
It takes a long time and a lot of effort for him to look that deliciously unkept.
I will not treat the suit that way, however...
His tail is shaped like a kangaroo tail but is much more flexible, yet not to the point of being prehensile.
I really wanted both plantigrade and digitigrade legs, but I really can't be such a pussy about it, so I'm going with plantigrade.
>_> But for the fullsuit, I'll be doing digitigrade.
And I think that's it...
I tried to come up with a word for Dragoroo in Chinese, and what I got was Dailong.
Dai coming from the word for Kangaroo, Dadaishu, meaning "big pouched rat" and the word for dragon.
So Dragoroo in Chinese is just "pouched dragon."
Yeah.
