A chat with  skyedancer reminded me of this poster, currently hanging on my garage wall...

There is, of course, a story behind this poster.

See, one of the ongoing hobbies in furry fandom is "Let's Zap  rabbi-tom!" This goes way back to the days of the Barr Wars.

Okay, so now we go back to Philcon 1998, when I was still living in Philly. Groat was coming over to stay for a con, so I thoughtfully decorated the guest bedroom with Smurf posters, a Hello Kitty wall clock, a Barney bedside lamp...and the poster you see here, staring directly at the bed.

Jim came stumbling in after his eighteen hour drive, bleary from the road and bad burgers, tottered up to the third floor and switched on the light...

"AIIIIEEEEEEE! MARMEL, YOU BASTARD!"

Anyhow, Jim decided to do some alterations to the decor...and when I saw what he'd done to this poster, I laughed so hard I literally bruised my diaphragm and it hurt me to breathe the rest of the weekend.

Worth it, though.
