                    aw thank you. :)
the mentioned "Big Daddy" build many hot rods and show cars back in 70's and 80's, and he also designed them on paper. and drew playful caricatures, too, which I use as inspiration. ^^
he might even have been furry, his personal character was a egg-shapedly fat rat named Ratfink. :)

                    You are very welcome, it is nice that you decided to share where the inspiration came from, not many people do it. I'd say that making happy funny things from time to time is a mark of those who really know their deal like you and the fellow "Big Daddy" =).
I've never seen his character though, gonna look for it on the net ^.^;

                    maybe I have seen them before... looks great! ^^ funny and to the point. ^^
back when Diamond Distribution would include small press, too, I managed to catch a set of Roth's caricatures on stickers. complete except to or three. no idea how many they actually sold, and I didn't think they'd deliver, but the seller seems to have been professional. :)

                    I was an angry child back when... :/
I don't think any survived my early childhood. later I started to search flea markets for replacements and painted then, since mint items were always pricey.
nowadays I have a big collection of model cars specializing in all things Ford (including Mercury, Lincoln, SAAB, Matra, formula one, etc)

                    I'm reluctant to count... might be around 4000 items. including some things that are more ornaments than model toys. :)
alas, I have to sell a part of them again. space is tight as well as my wallet. but there are so many other things to get, and Iam photographing them all to create a kind of online-museum off them. so as soon as I shot a pic and noted all down they can go again.
