Hmm I wasn't around during the 80s so I probably haven't heard of the name of the shorts but I have seen some like that thanks to 80s movies. (What can I say? I love old movies ^^) As for the picture, he really looks like he is having a good time, hope he doesn't sprain his ankle or anything. Really nice work on the coloring, it looks smooth and rendered. Really nice picture. ^^
His shorts are the brand of "Maglificio Maggia." As you can see the name, it is an Italian brand, famous for its specific blue x pink x while colours. Especially its impressive blue colour is still called "Maggia Blue." Even now, I remember that their tennis wears were tremendously expensive; approx. USD200.00.- for a polo shirt!! If I had kept my door closed inside the iron curtain, I would not make any progress on my furry artworks. From this point of view, communication is power. Your suggestions and opinions are always welcome. As of the brand of "Maglficio Maggia", this is only the picture I have at my hand now. It was very popular in the 80s although, very very few picture remains by now:

Awww how cute! ohh yeah did u gotten the pic of what my bunny of me look's like? And also she is close to what Tobu looks like but a bit different *giggles*. But she have black on her finger's tips and her tose. Just like tobu's and also her tail is sliver with black on the tip. I forgotten that shade that in lol when I color her. But your faurasona is soo cute! sorry about my spelling. *giggles* and *blushes*.
