Another random speed paint thing...but this time it came to me in the form of, well, Unico. The little unicorn created by Osamu Tezuka whose gift is to make everyone he comes into contact with happy. The first time I had seen this movie was like, a long ass time ago in the form of "Unico in the Island of Magic"-and I remember getting all freaked out by the puppet guy because he was HORRIFYING. I think I was like 5? 6? He was so scary I remember, lawl.

Of course I can draw lighthearted things...I do enjoy nostalgia. And i've been feeling really shitty today...so this was nice to do even though it didn't help as much as I would have liked...

The unicorn in the background signifies his alternate form...if you've seen the movie or any of the others, you'd know he transforms into this magnificent unicorn stallion with wings.

I basically just painted this directly onto SAI with no sketch or anything...how I do love me some layers though.

And I really do miss this movie. It sucks that now a days they just don't come out with ANYTHING like they did in the 90s/80s/70s when it comes to animated pictures. Oh well...can atleast still remember some of it for what it was.
