{ ! ! ! } Queue mess, Refunds, and an apology from Teil.
Hey guys, this is teileaf. I went ahead and took yesterday to step aside, work on a few pieces and contemplate what to do going forward with the queue.
Pebz and I have come up with a solid plan for work going forward in an efficient and effective way to keep our bills covered, and our commissioners happy.
We want to completely dedicate our work to a specific schedule, with a set amount done each day, instream and on time.
We're so ready to jump into this mode of working, but unfortunately since before Pebz joined me on this account, I've had a queue backlog that I have been unable to keep up with.
The reason I am typing this journal is because I want to take full responsibility in the fact that I:
1. I took on way too much, more than I could handle.
2. I have ( in the past ) neglected to keep up with my commissioners out of shame in myself and the way I have done things.
- Instead of dealing with things straight on, I became reclusive. Which was detrimental to a lot of trust with my commissioners. For that, I deeply apologize.
- Since Pebblesraven's joining the account, we have done everything we can to keep up with commissioners inquiring about their commissions. There have been a few hiccups, but we're learning and taking note of everything.
- We are completely understanding and empathetic to the fact that many of you have waited far beyond reasonable times.
I thought I was superman, and that I could take on the world. It was irrational and impulsive, and I am absolutely ready to take responsibility for my actions.
Myself and Pebbles have been paying off a small loan day by day. We have just under $1300 to pay it off, and then we will be able to take one out to refund a large portion of the queue.
While I know this will frustrate and possibly anger quite a few people, (understandably so), we do hope you can understand that we can not handle the workload that I have taken on over the past year.
We will be compiling a queue for refunds of all pieces we know we won't be able to complete in a timely manner. We will make the queue public as soon as we have it completed.
Should there be anybody that wishes for a refund beyond who we will be putting on the list, feel free to note us about it. However we can not promise a refund to be given in this same batch of commissions being refunded. You will absolutely receive it asap, when we are able to raise the funds to cover those outside of the loan.
We will update everyone very soon with more information on the plans for raising funds to refund the queue, when we will be handing out refunds, and how we plan to handle business moving forward.
Please keep an eye out for updates, and if you have any questions or concerns, please give us a note! <33
We really deeply hope you guys can understand the situation that we have put ourselves in. We desperately want to make things right and have been pulling out our hair trying to find a solution.
We decided that ultimately, instead of making people wait upwards of a year for their artwork, refunds would be the fairest alternative.
Thank you all... so much for your patience with me. And thank you all for being so welcoming to Pebbles. She has been a tank for the the last few months.
I just want to make things right for everyone. <3
Thanks for reading. ; - ; <333333
We really do hope we get the chance to work with you all in the future once we have fixed this mess we created!

It's stuff that I've been tearing myself down about for the past months.
Its been a vicious cycle of people being disappointed ( and understandably so) , and me going into artist block because of guilt.
It was... honestly very freeing to type all this. x-x Difficult to word things the way they needed to be worded.
But I figured if I was blunt and honest about my mistakes, then maybe it'll help people understand that I just want to do good in this community.

admitting when you've bit off more than you can chew can be a very hard thing to do !
i experienced something like this last year and it really hit hard on me (i was trying to juggle this as well as a full time job as well as schooling and it was terrible)
I hope things improve and that this lessens your stress!

Man. I've struggled with this a lot back when I was just starting to branch out into the world of "not drawing just personal art," for me it started with taking requests/etc...
I'd go months without drawing due to stress, school, and personal problems in my life - the people would get so sad if I logged on and had nothing to give them, and I would ultimately avoid logging on at all. For a while I even avoided using my laptop as a whole besides for homework.
The turning point was after a shame-hiatus when I realized it wouldn't stop (for me) until I kicked my own ass constructively instead of destructively for once. So slowly, I forced myself to keep my schedule small enough to figure out how much I could do at once, and grew from there. >~<

I just want to say, you guys have done an amazing job with this so far. Even with such a queue size, you've been pumping out art left and right, and I would never be able to do what you two have been able to achieve in such a short amount of time.
It shows such a huge sense of responsibility for you to admit this and to say it out loud publicly, and I think you guys are doing a fantastic job in terms of how you're going about all this. Such good communication with your commissioners, at least in my experience. It shows that you really, truly care about your followers and customers.
I do have one question though, is it possible to sort of.. sign a waiver of sorts for people who do not wish to have it refunded, that states they are 100% willing to wait patiently for their art piece?
But I do completely understand if you guys want to make it easy and just 'get it over with' so to speak, so please don't take my question the wrong way!
I'm proud of you! ā„

While we would obviously aim to complete things quicker, we'd definitely want people to know and agree to at least 1 year wait times. ; - ;
Which .... some have already waited a while. So I'm not sure if people would be open to that, but we're open to it if people are ok to wait.
; - ; <3 This whole message along with so many others from people have been so sweet. Thank you and everyone else for the support.

I'm incredibly proud of you Teil. I've been following you for like four years and you've come so far. I'm sure a good chunk of that progress can be thanked from Pebz help with time management, but don't sell yourself short either. You've made strides and continue to pump art out faster than anyone else I know, and at a consistent quality. I'm amazed by each and every one of your pieces, so that really says something. Keep it up and keep improving. Hopefully once you get this queue clear and refunds sent out that, not only will you feel better, but you'll be able to focus more on doing art that you love without it being a chore or causing you so much anxiety!
