Wow, this story was incredibly touching... And, it moved me deeply but still I can't exactly say why... Maybe... maybe because your words and idea of how things should go here sounded just... fine and reassuring. Silly isn't it ? But, that's probably what I was hoping for when I decided to launch this contest.
I think I can picture what the pup should look like very well with his very light fur (pink, like newborn animals when their fur isn't thick enough to cover their skin color. I don't really like pink color, but I've always found it cute on pups or kitten or baby rodents XD ) and the emotions are just so real and strong.
It's best that you didn't try to presume what a woman and young mother's feelings could be, because a man's point of view on pregnancy and birth can also be very interesting and reassuring for a woman.
It's always good to know that you won't have to be the only one to love your child, right ?

Having cubs is a very serious step in life. There are so many variables to account for and I personally can't say much being a guy.
