Gemites : Species Ref
About
━━━━━
This is a Make your own/adoptable species created for Charity. Please read the rules carefully!
Pronounced Gem (as in gemsbok) and ite. Gemite!
Gemites are a species of critters that inhabit caves and rocky regions of the world. Perpetually cheerful, they spend most of their days singing, eating, and playing around. They are highly intelligent, and have developed a written language as well as artwork.
It is not sure if Gemites have biological sexes. Eggs just...sometimes appear. It's speculated that they are much like mollusks, in that they only need two healthy individuals in order to produce eggs. Pups are born without any gems, as they develop as they consume minerals. They are raised by the group as communal parenting. They live in large groups called Clans.
They can up to three hundred years, as it takes a long time for them to grow.
This is a rather varied species, with no limits on color and design, save for a couple rare traits. They mimic natural crystal growth. If you need some inspiration, you can check out the Smithsonian mineral gallery, which has a large collection of cut and natural minerals.
How do I get one?
━━━━━━━━━━
As these are a closed species, there is only one way that you can get your own, and that is by donating to charity.
Yep. That's right! Make a donation via donated goods, time, or cash and you will be given permission to make your own!
It breaks down like this.
A common Gemite = 10$ usd
An uncommon Gemite = 20$ usd
A rare Gemite = 30$ usd
Make a donation in the amount of what kind of Gemite you would like! Proof can be a photograph, or a screenshot, or a receipt. DO NOT SEND MONEY TO ME. DONATE DIRECTLY TO THE CHARITY. I only need proof that you actually did donate.
I will NOT accept donations to PETA, Salvation Army, Animal Liberation Front, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Autism Speaks.
Some of my favorite charities are Blind cat rescue, The Bodhana Group, Meals on Wheels and The Cat House on the Kings.
Rules
━━━━━━━━━━
1. Do not make a Gemite without donating first.
2. You are allowed to make these into adoptables, but you cannot sell them, they are designed for charity. You can have adopters 'buy' them through donating by the terms set above.
3. Don't sell these! Please! If you want to get rid of one you made, please trade it or have someone donate to get it.
4. If you do make a Gemite, I would like to see it :D These are made in mind for people to go wild with design!
5. Do not claim these species as your own. I will get mad if I see someone selling these for profit.
6. Be excellent to each other.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or shoot me a message!!!
