At the Foot of His Throne (Redux)
The Tyrannosaurus Rex had looked down on others for millennia, using his size-shifting abilities to tower over and decimate all that opposed him. In a cruel twist of fate, however, Typhek had found himself pitted against the demon Hellfarch in a terrifying game of survival, which he lost. With his soul forfeit, he found himself ripped away from the world he knew and flung into Hellfarch's twisted realm.
Shrunken down to a minuscule size with his powers gone, Typhek now finds himself standing before a mountainous throne, his equally-gargantuan new master lounging on it. Hellfarch's enormous feet lay before the once-mighty predator, silently demanding to be worshiped as the demon grins from high above.
This is a remake of a submission I did back in October, featuring
Adam0800's new model as well as a more comprehensive shot of Hellfarch and his throne. I had a lot of fun revisiting this, tweaking the lighting and camera angle as well as getting to show off Hellfarch's updated textures while I was at it, and I think it came together rather well!

Thank you! His face being in shadow was an accident at first, but I ended up really liking it because it made his eyes stand out. I also lit up his teeth a little so his smile would be more visible as well.
To be honest, I don't really know what the throne is supposed to be made of. The texture is done procedurally with Renderman pattern nodes, and the current look is largely just from me playing around with them without really knowing what I'm doing or even what sort of look to actually go for. I wanted something a bit otherworldly to show how different Hellfarch's realm is to normal reality, but I also want it to look grand and imposing--perhaps even a bit gaudy, to fit Hellfarch's twisted sense of humor. I don't think I quite have it down just yet, but I think it's okay for this render and I can iterate on it some more in the future until it gets somewhere I'm satisfied with.
