People seem to use the excuse of 'imagination' and 'representation' when drawing stuff like this, completely missing the point. There is a fine line between drawing something with imagination and just doing it out of pure ignorance of the subject. Really, anyone with half a brain should know that there are real women out there with large breast but drawing something like this doesn't show off the beauty or adoration of a woman; it just shows that all you care about are breast. I'd rather have someone just flat out and say that then make up some bullshit excuse like 'its art!' or something along those lines.

Exactly, 'fantasy' does not give a person a free pass to draw all their women (and men) the same. A woman can be small-breasted in fantasy and not effect the overall feel because the breast aren't that important anyway.

i do think rediculously oversized breasts do tend to look just that - rediculous. so they don't really interest me personally. i will also agree that this same sort of shape does get boring; i like to see variety. but people like what they like, and i don't really see the harm in that. it's just people drawing their own fantasies. it's not worth feeling bothered or insulted by it, it's just somones personal taste. although drawing all female characters with large breasts suggests vanity, it's no worse than altering anything else. and since anthropomorhpic creatures don't exsist anyway, surely it's up to people to represent them how they want. there is plenty of art with big eyes, feet, and other parts too. and to be honest i can't see a massive difference. it's just what people like for whatever reason. and ofcourse there is far worse out there. good and humerous picture however.

its alright for people to have their likes and fantasies but it begins to cross the line when these same people become pretentious over their likes and then go on the realms of just being offensive, all of them using the cover of 'fantasy' as an excuse for being assholes. You like big breast, good for you. That doesn't make you more of a man and it also doesn't give you the excuse to go into pictures of small-chested characters and tell the artist how larger breast would have made them 'hotter'

oh i certainly agree. i haven't really seen that happen, that's pretty pathetic. i don't really like anyone being down on anyone for personal taste, certainly not for issues such as breasts anyway. i tend to prefer a variety of natural proportions. there's loads of stuff that doesn't interest me, bores me, or even disturbs me on this site. i try to just skim over it. sometimes i do spot artists that have a talent and style i like, but not the content i enjoy. i expect everyone encounters this, but there's never a reason to be rude about it.

Yeah, this is a peeve as mine as well mainly because it doesn't make a character look any better, especially if they're actually being serious about the character looking like this and the bewbs aren't a joke...even though the size of them are. XD

Boob-noobs as I call them are the worst; they're so damn annoying. I know its easy to ignore them but when they come knocking on your door to either tell you you're drawing you female wrong (because they don't have ZZZ tits) or demand that you draw their stupid shit, it turns into something you really can't ignore. I chalk all of this up to two things; lack of actual knowledge on how breast function and the deliberate ignorance of coming to understand that you can't excuse this shit all the time. Even on FA, we still have people who don't know that breast do not carry milk like one fills a water balloon and then there are those who try to excuse their shitty work with 'its just fantasy' which ignores the fact that fantasy does not mean you have to devolve to the lowest realms of being a sexist asshole when it comes to writing and drawing. If that were the case, then female writers should have all the room to do what they want with male characters and if they don't like it....too bad! Its FANTASY! Sit back and it take it like you always tell us!

Sadly, there will always be people like this but on the flip side, there are plenty of people to counter their mindset which is one of the greatest things about humanity; we all don't thing in a hive mind and there are plenty of those out there, especially men, who know when things are taken too far at the expense of others, in this case women and the view taken out on them (which in this case is simply you only exist to be judged on your tits)
