I think all the weeping is going a tad bit overboard. I feel sorry for Zonoya... yes I do but only to a point. She made her choice to be a bad girl and these are some of the unfortunate outcomes she has to deal with.

As for the friendship issue between Zonoya and Cynder... its probably best that Cynder just let her go. Moving on would be more preferable then trying to save a dead friendship. Which Malefor tainted with his cruel actions. As for Zonoya ever believing Cynder... Please, Malefor could have survived and it would have changed nothing. Zonoya is too mentally screwed in the head to ever see the truth. In other words she is looking more and more like a complete lost cause. However, Rapture might try to help her. Whether or not she would accept his help is rather doubtful.

However, I think everyone is overlooking one other character that we should be feeling sorry for. Very sorry for in fact.

Yep, I am talking about Rapture. He wanted to be her king because he loves her. And yet well... we saw what happen. If anyone has been deeply emotionally hurt in all this it is him. I swear the little guy really got run thru the ringer here. Oh and there is huge difference between him and Malefor. He REALLY loved or loves Zonoya. Malefor was just using her. At this point though everyone seems blinded by feeling sorry for Zonoya.

Show some compassion for the other guy too for petes sake, people. He got hurt by Malefor and Zonoya. I think what Zonoya did probably hurt him more since he knew her longer. It felt more like a betrayal on her part.

As for Nina... She'll get over it if it ever comes up. Which I doubt it will.

In other words your as happy as can be, you people make Malefor look like barney.

Don't get me wrong, I do feel sorry for Rapture. He's one of my favorite characters in this. I'm just hoping that he'll be able to use this to get closer to Zonoya.

Malefor using Zonoya is exactly why I feel sorry for her in this case. In her eyes, her lover and mate just died after being freed from a crystal prison. They got, what, 1 day together? In her eyes, she had her mate for just one day. She doesn't get that he was using her.

Well, I think he hadn't too much pain, the one in his chest must have pierced and broken his spine so it shouldn't have been too painful, but nevertheless it's sad because there is someone left behind who loved that guy...

It's kind of a shame seeing him being snuffed out again. After all he was given such nice character development earlier... much better than in the games really.

On a side note, as emotional as it is, I think it would be even more emotional if a tear or two were added to Malefor as well. So it would be that, in his final moments, he knew that he was going to die and started to cry because of it, just before he died.

If you look very closely, there's a tear right at the base of his eye, like he began to cry but couldn't finish, I'm guessing.

Such a sad piece... there's something that doesn't click with me though. In the last page, when Zonoya tried to steal the crystal (again) we heard her scream, yet she doesn't seem hurt here. What happened then?

The scream was of torment rather than pain. After finding him like this and realising that the crystal used up all its power meaning he can't be resurrected and is dead for good.

Still, it's kind of hard not to feel sorry for both of them. Zonoya really did love him.

True. It's a shame Malefor saw her only as a tool to be used, then discarded. Then again, I feel sorrier for Rapture. The dude has pined for Zonoya for most of his life, only for her to fall for the first asshole she met. The life story of a geek! xD

As for Zonoya... what can I say. If you loved the guy so damn much then throw yourself on those spikes as well. I don't mind feeling sorry for someone in pain but when that someone is crying over the person who is responsible for ruining his/her whole life up to this point....

I just have to say Zonoya you don't know it yet but in the long run you'll be happier. As to who will want to be your king now after all this mess that is a good question. The relationship between Zonoya and Rapture is pretty much tainted now thanks to Malefor. Yep, the laughing asshole managed to do one last screw you to pretty much everyone in the story.

Im always looking out for happy endings. I guess that's not always possible.

I beat Malefor in Game and now he's owned by a little purple dragoness named Nina. Hehe Even i can't think better to end his master plan of taken over the world while first he tried to destroy the world in pieces. No sorrow for that guy that's pure evil. But I feel sorry for Zonoya cause she lose her love one. I'm sure i smell something bad going to happening later after all the grief and sorrows and more hate would be build up more and more powerful than we had imagine before.

As it's been said before, this is a truly emotionally-powerful piece. You convey Zonoya's horror and grief very well. I commend you for showing this side of the villian, that they have feelings, dreams and hopes as well and that they can suffer just as much as any heroic character can when things go poorly.
