Roy belongs to me
----
Name: Roy Scyvol
Age: Late 20s
Species: Chicken
Gender: Male
History: The Scyvols held great power and influence at one point. Before the war that set back society ended. They had their hands in the pockets of priests, nobles, and crime lords. Ultimately using their pull to ascend higher in society. Due to this pull that they had, the Scyvols made enemies equally as powerful as them, high and low.
If the war didn't end as catastrophically as it did, and the Order didn't become split in its beliefs. The Scyvols would have likely been undone by their enemies. However the apocalypse was a blessing in disguise. The Scyvols using the civil war between the Order's now divided factions to escape. Joining the non-believers out of survival rather than their ideas of "No-religion, no war. All magic must be regulated if not destroyed.".
However the Scyvols still have enemies, some new and some old. Many people still remember how much of a pull the Scyvols had when the Order was still one force. Many see them as zealot backing cowards who funded the violent religion they were once part of. And those who still follow the Order see the Scyvols as traitors and cowards. Really, the apocalypse just brought the Scyvols a temporary break, nothing has truly changed. They still have enemies high and low, from all sides, in the shadows or out in plain sight.
Bio: Roy is the youngest of five other Scyvol offspring, those five others being women. The young rooster never knew who his mother and father were or their fates. He was raised by his aunt and uncle, living the pampered life as all of current or former royalty do. However he also bonded with the house maids and grounds keepers on the manor. In a way, the maids and grounds keepers were his mother and father figure. While he still held a tight bond with his aunt and uncle, he found himself relating more to the common, simple people that were the servants on the manor.
Into early adulthood Roy learned the life styles of high society and lesser society. Learning the trade skills of the working class, and the Scyvol tradition of dueling, tactics, and swordplay. As the only male of his siblings, Roy was also expected to find a mate, or multiple mates, to keep the bloodline going. Roy was uncomfortable as this was more about "keeping the bloodline pure" rather than about him finding someone he truly loved. He secretly broke tradition and was having a relationship with someone outside of the high society he lived in. The relationship was a great one, he always felt like it was to be, unfortunately such good things can sometimes be too good. As he found out this mate was just manipulating him and using him for money. Once he found out, he cut off all ties in anger. How could he have been so blind? He should have known, there will always be people in the world to take advantage of you.
This sour relationship made Roy cautious, he'd return to looking among those within his same class for a mate. Constantly being pressured by his aunt and uncle to do so. He'd find that mate who was in fact a childhood friend, she grew up along side him. Her own family came from similar wealth and were quite pleasant. Roy and this woman could be considered as close as family already. Over the years, he became extremely emotionally invested in her and she returned these feelings back. Things were looking up but...it was too good.
She vanished without a trace, no good bye, nothing. Leaving Roy so empty. Everything he invested in emotionally gone. Betrayed. Roy came to a realization: "this is how the world is now. No room for decent folk, honest feelings. Nothing. To show our soft side is to show weakness. Fine...if that's how it is, to hell with you too."
Roy from that day forward became cynical, didn't bond with many others. Questioning his current friendships. He looked at himself, he did everything to be the right husband. He was caring, he was always there, he did everything. Yet...maybe he was a fool to believe such tales of happiness could be real. He wouldn't be played the fool anymore.
Roy signed on to the military, purging the simpletons who followed such nonsense of religion. He did so out of a way to recover his lost honor in his failed relationships, to have an excuse for his aunt and uncle on why he wasn't finding a mate, and to prove to the two people who played him the fool that he would be something they wish they had now. He fantasizes about how they'd come running back, as some crippled mess or pathetic beggar. He knows exactly what he'd do if they did.
Personality: Roy as stated before is cynical, everyone treats you nice because they want something from you in his eyes. All the decent people died in the apocalypse, what's left are the survivors, opportunists, leeches, fools. Roy comes off as cold and depressed. He's hard to make friends with because he does so on purpose. Best not to get attached to someone or they'll break your heart again. Around those he calls 'friend' the relationship is shaky at best.
Profession: Officer. Roy leads his soldiers into battle to wipe out the religious factions and magical creatures in the wasteland. He has earned such a position through his quick rise in the ranks due to his bloodline and his far better understanding of tactics than most others. He will challenge those who question his position to lead, so far he hasn't lost any duel he has given to such challengers.
Combat style choice: Dueling with a pistol in his dominant hand, sword in the other.
Other skills: Roy isn't ashamed to do the things a noble would usually hire a servant to do. He knows how to repair and wash his uniform, maintain his weapons, and lately he's been learning wilderness survival. While the pampered life style he lived somewhat made him soft he is quick to adapt and push himself into the rougher things in life.
Secret desire: Roy, certainly wants to have a child. Skip the middle man of finding a mate and find someone who he can call son or daughter. Who he can teach and be proud of. Unfortunately, due to the way his family holds "keeping the bloodline clean" adopting any kid is impossible. They would never approve. Maybe he'll find someone, someone with potential, with the spirit to learn and not lay back like all the other noble folk from the society he comes from. Maybe...just maybe, he'll find someone he can call his offspring and successor.

This sheet will certainly see updates.
I made him to give a different perspective compared to Quija, who I'll be posting more of and get a ref sheet done.
